For the second consecutive year, Beer Capitol and Modelo beer continued their commitment to the community by partnering with Mel’s Charities in their “Modelo for Mel’s” fundraiser.

For every 12 ounces of Modelo beer sold last year by 86 restaurants and taverns throughout Ozaukee County, Beer Capitol and Modelo beer donated 25 cents to Mel’s Charities, which supports program around the county, with a strong emphasis on human services, special needs and memorial scholarships.

The program raised over $14,000, almost doubling the previous year’s efforts.

“We are grateful to Beer Capitol, the Ozaukee County restaurants and taverns who participated and everyone who had a ‘Modelo for Mel’s’ in 2021,” said Tom Stanton of Mel’s Charities.

Beer Capitol has worked with Mel’s Charities for over 15 years.

“We are honored to collaborate and contribute to this incredible organization that positively impacts many lives in the Ozaukee community,” said Mike Rohde, sales manager at Beer Capitol Distributing. “We are looking forward to continuing to support and grow Modelo for Mel’s in 2022.”
